Hey guys!

there is no easy way for me to address this, but I have no choice but to hold this meetup until possibly next year, the reason will actually piss you off as much as it did for me. I really have not addressed this issue bc I thought everything was going to be under control, But this situation is BEYOND F’d up!! There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I can renew my state id. The reason why that is such a big deal for me is because of one issue (And I REALLY DO NOT want to be political, but I have no choice): ICE.

Despite being born in the US, President Donald Trump and his “gestapo” clearly DO NOT care, as many legal US citizens of Hispanic, Arabic and Jamaican descent have been wrongfully detained and deported to places where they don’t belong! I never thought I'd live in a country where having a different skin color was a crime again. So now I have to sit and wait for months until I can get everything situated to renew my state ID. Till then I can’t go anywhere, I can’t find work. It’s like I’m under house arrest. I’m lucky enough to be living in a place with people who support me and love me but this is not a normal lifestyle and it shouldn’t be.

And since it’s going to take a long time to get everything situated, NG Summer Smash cannot happen this year. I’m sorry if I disappointed everybody. Unless someone else wants to host it, by all means, BE MY GUEST! I wanted this to be a fun experience like last year, but stupid me forgot what country we were living in and who is running in office. They clearly do not like fun. If someone happens to take my place hosting the event, do not expect me to be there.
